The Watchers are elemental immortal beings who dwell in the Sanctuary, an otherworldly mystical place beyond time.
History
Once, the Watchers could visit the mortal world in immortal forms, but since the loss of the Kindred, they have been bound to the Sanctuary, only able to travel to the mortal plane in hawk form and in the dreams of mortals. If a Watcher should take human form while in the mortal world, they become exiled and mortal. After the discovery of the Kindred, the Watchers regained their ability to visit the mortal world in their human forms. The Watchers are ruled by their Elders, who were once numerous, but thanks to the schemes of Melenia, they have now been reduced to a single Watcher, Timotheus.
